Pest Control at Cleckheaton Golf Club

Cleckheaton Golf Club required a reliable commercial pest control programme to help protect key food, drink and preparation areas throughout the premises.

Evidence of rat activity had been identified around the external bin areas, creating a potential risk of rodents moving closer to the building and areas where food and drink are stored or prepared. Effective rat control was therefore required around the external areas of the premises.

The club also required preventative mouse control and monitoring internally, particularly around kitchens, bars, cellars and preparation rooms, alongside regular maintenance of existing fly control units.

Bawcro Pest Control put a structured monitoring and prevention programme in place across both the external and internal areas of the golf club.

The installation included:

• 8 external rat traps housed securely within bait boxes.
• 10 internal mouse monitoring boxes positioned throughout key areas.
• 4 internal rat monitoring boxes.
• Regular inspection of kitchens, bar areas, cellars and preparation rooms.
• Cleaning and maintenance of fly zappers within relevant rooms.
• Monitoring of the external bin areas where rat activity had previously been identified.

Following the initial setup, Bawcro now attends the site every six weeks to inspect the monitoring points, assess for new pest activity and maintain the pest control equipment.

Cleckheaton Golf Club now has a structured pest management programme in place covering both internal and external risk areas.

Regular monitoring helps identify rodent activity before it develops into a larger problem, while the six-weekly service visits provide ongoing oversight of kitchens, bars, cellars, preparation rooms and waste areas.

Routine servicing of the fly zappers also supports improved flying insect control within the club's operational areas.
