Land Management at Denton Reserve

Denton Reserve required a range of outdoor land management works to improve and prepare several areas of the estate.

The work included sections where new stock fencing was required, areas affected by fallen tree branches and an old pond that needed clearing before it could be transformed into a new plunge pool.

With different tasks spread across the estate, the work needed to be completed carefully and progressively while fitting around the wider use and management of the site.

Bawcro Pest Control carried out the work over an approximately eight-week period, attending the estate for one or two days at a time as each stage of the project progressed.

The work included:

• Installing new stock fencing to create secure and clearly defined boundaries.
• Clearing fallen tree branches and other unwanted material from the site.
• Clearing out the existing pond and preparing the area for its future conversion into a plunge pool.
• Coordinating the work in stages to minimise disruption and allow the wider estate to continue operating normally.

The flexible approach allowed each element of the project to be completed as required rather than carrying out unnecessary continuous site attendance.

The completed works helped improve the condition, usability and appearance of the areas concerned across Denton Reserve.

New stock fencing provided secure and practical boundaries, fallen branches were removed from the land, and the old pond was cleared ready for the next stage of its transformation into a plunge pool.
